Manchester United Might End Up With £80m Superstar Attacker As LVG Admits Surprise Move

Share

Premier League giants Manchester United are determined to spend even more cash, after spending approximately £76million for their four summer signings so far. According to a report from the Mirror, the Red Devils are looking to make a £80m bid to bring Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale to Old Trafford, as manager Louis van Gaal is still looking to add more attacking options to his squad.

United have been keen on acquiring the 26-year-old winger, despite the former European champions repeatedly rebuffing Ed Woodward’s advances towards his target.

The Wales international is one of the most wanted players in Europe at the moment and United are looking to bring him back to England this summer. The former Tottenham man has made a total of 58 appearances for the La Liga giants, scoring 28 goals since joining them in 2013.

Whether the Dutch manager can get his man this time or not remains to be seen, though recently the club has already added quite a number of highly quality players, after a trophy less last season.

However, LVG  has admitted that a “surprise” signing is on the cards before the summer transfer window closes, but whether that will be a striker or Gareth Bale is the real question.
