Manchester United Latest Including New Club Logo, Moyes’ Praise For Giggs

After United’s second pre-season friendly, their manager David Moyes is finally looking jubilant. The reason behind his delightment is the way senior players have cooperated with Wilfred Zaha and taken him under their faction.

After returning from Crystal Palace, where he was loaned for the last half of the 2012-13 season, this pre-season tour is the 20 year old player’s first time with the Red Devils. The senior players including legends like Ryan Giggs have not missed the opportunity to make a cordial relation with Zaha and make him comfortable at Old Trafford.

Besides that, the new manager is elated the way Giggs and other senior players are comforting him.

“Ryan has been great for me with what works and what happens here,” said Moyes. “I’ve got to say he and players like Rio have given me a real good insight into things.”

After the 27-years era of Sir Alex Ferguson as the Red Devils manager, a lot of changes are certain to take place. Astonishingly, one among them will be the club logo. If reports are to be believed, Manchester United is on a verge to change their club logo after 15 years. The last change in logo took place in 1998.

This change will take place to add the word ‘Football Club’ in the club’s logo. And the main reason of switching the logo is to dispel the image that Glazers are only interested in United as a business association rather than their history and glory of one of England’s greatest sporting foundation.

It is an initiative of club owner Joel Glazer to re-attach the ‘football club’ sign to the logo which was changed seven years before the America based Glazer family took the major stakes of the club. New chief executive Ed Woodward has confirmed United have reservations about the current badge.

“I didn’t like that change of badge,” said Woodward. “Joel didn’t like that change. We will look at that and have a think about that. We are a football club, not a business.”

So the Red Devils fans all across the globe must be eagerly waiting for their club’s new logo to be unveiled.
