Manchester United or Arsenal? Which Club Should This Super Talented Midfielder Should Pick?

The time seems to be right for PSG to sell one of their stars, Adrien Rabiot might not be the old head that the Parisian club would want to sell but he does seem to be a hothead and his willingness to move away from the Ligue 1 giants has come to a final stand.

Rabiot was expected to move away from PSG at the start of the season, rumours have been going around that he was set to move to the Premier League but with no concrete offers for the talented Frenchman, nothing really transpired. Now it seems he is ready to take the next step as many Premier League giants are vying for his signature.

Arsenal and Manchester United are two clubs who are fighting over his signature and it just is a matter of time before Adrien does make a decision about his future. But with so many clubs after him, which side should he move to?

Red is the obvious choice but which club?

When you are as talented as Rabiot, it isn’t a surprise that both Manchester United and Arsenal want to sign you up. The fact that they both have requirements in midfield certainly puts Rabiot in a great spot as it is he who decides which club gets the player that they both so want.

The French midfielder plays in the centre of the park and loves controlling the game, though he does make occasional forays into the attacking third, he is best suited to playing a holding midfielder’s role where he can pass and tackle as much as he likes.

The 20-year-old would be a great fit in the Premier League with his physicality and appetite for going into a tackle. He is great at winning headers as well, even if it isn’t for the hairstyle that he so fashions, the midfielder also has a great eye for a through ball and finding his teammates with long passes.

His tackling is great as well and that would be a great asset to have in the Premier League, the only issue that does come out as a problem is his character, which has come into question many times at PSG as well.

Playing under Louis van Gaal might not be the greatest experience for players and this could be a big reason why Rabiot does not end up at Manchester United. Arsene Wenger might be known as the Professor but he does have a way of dealing with players and getting them to do the right things on the pitch.

Plus when it comes to joining a club at the moment, why would you join Manchester United, who do play a drab game of football and not move to Arsenal who are topping the Premier League table and do play some great football as well?

The answer could be the money that Manchester United are willing to splash on a player that could solve their midfield problem for years. Arsenal also have a number of good players in the central midfield spot and the competition could see Adrien move to another club where he is guaranteed first-team football.

If the decision is made purely on terms of playing for the better side and having a chance of winning trophies, then Arsenal should be the obvious choice for Rabiot. He would have to work his socks off though to play regularly for the Gunners.

However if he does want to move to a club where he gets regular football then Manchester United is the option for him, though for his own sake and for his own development, working with Arsene Wenger seems a better proposition than working with Louis van Gaal.
