Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur – Champions League quarter-finals 2nd leg preview.

Tottenham Hotspur picked up a stunning 1-0 win against Manchester City, gaining a big advantage in the first leg of UCL –quarterfinals.

Son Heung-min broke the deadlock in the 76th minute with a brilliant solo goal beating past Ederson.

A rundown of the first leg- lacklustre display from City, Pochettino’s men survive

The Argentine manager would not be the happiest man right now as his side couldn’t translate the brilliant league form to UCL.

Despite dominating the stats with passes, possession, City completely looked different from the one they used to be in knock-out stages.

Riyad Mahrez, the surprising starter was found off colours and the substitutes he brought in also couldn’t spark any moments.

Sergio Kun Aguero, the trustworthy striker, missed an early penalty which really changed the complex of the game. And surprisingly Kevin De Bruyne didn’t start in the playing 11.

On the other hand, Spurs really exploited even the slightest mistakes of the Premier League table toppers.

City have a great record at Etihad Stadium

Guardiola’s last defeat at Ethiad was the one against Lyon in UCL group stages.  Ever since then, they haven’t lost any games until now.

City should be slight favourites for the clash since they play at home, and to get an idea of who has the best chance of winning you can check the Champions League betting odds.
