Man United vs West Ham Prediction: Predicted Man United line-up

Manchester United have come off the international break with two wins on the trot and despite them being narrow 1-0 victories in the Premier League and Europa league, they were fairly comfortable for the full 90 minutes and seem a solid defensive unit.

Their next opponents, West Ham, are only trailing the Red Devils on goal difference and will feel fairly optimistic about their own chances after getting one over the Red Devils in the same fixture last season in 3-1 victory when Jose Mourinho was in charge.

Things were fairly heated at Old Trafford at the time as Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba had the infamous training ground bust-up prior to the game. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking for another victory to build a head of steam.

Team News

Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw are still nursing injuries. Shaw, however, is back in training.

Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Daniel James are recovering and it’s likely that they’ll all be available for the fixture on Sunday and got their rest with the West Ham game in mind.

Predicted XI

Manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

David De Gea – Goalkeeper

He’s signed a new contract and United will be hoping he’s back to his usual self as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

David de Gea

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Right-back

The new signing has been impeccable and will need to stop the threat of Felipe Anderson.

Victor Lindelof – Centre-back

He’s another player who has committed his long-term future to the club and will be hoping to keep another clean sheet.

Harry Maguire – Centre-back

Another new signing, who has looked impervious so far. He’ll have the tough task of keeping Sebastien Haller at bay.

Ashley Young – Left-back

He’ll wear the armband and has been fantastic in his more natural flank and Luke Shaw hasn’t really been missed.

Fred – Central midfield

The Brazilian had an impressive cameo against Leicester and was one of the stand-out performers in the game against Astana. He deserves a start.

Scott McTominay – Central midfield

Has been United’s most consistent midfielder since February. He’s the engine room and will be fresh after a dominating display against Leicester.

Jesse Lingard – Attacking midfield

Likely to play in the hole with Paul Pogba unavailable.

Daniel James – Left-wing

He has looked at home on that left side and will be an absolute menace for the Hammers defence

Marcus Rashford – Centre-forward

He’ll want to get on the scoresheet as he hasn’t scored many goals from open play in the recent past.

Mason Greenwood -Right-wing

The 17-year-old got his first goal for the first-team and became the youngest player in the club’s history to score a goal in European competition.
