According to the Mirror, Manchester United have joined the race for Eintracht Frankfurt’s French forward Sebastien Haller. The report reveals that Newcastle and West Ham are also keen on the 24-year-old but Old Trafford looks to be the ideal destination this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in the midst of a massive rebuilding job which is expected to start with his striker. Romelu Lukaku is expected to leave Manchester this summer and Haller is being considered as a replacement for the Belgian.
Lukaku, despite criticism, has had a fairly decent season which saw him net 15 goals in all competitions. However, the Belgian’s inconsistency has been a massive worry for United, which has seen them move Marcus Rashford up front in place of the former Chelsea man.
Rashford, despite coming up with the goods on more than one occasion, isn’t quite ready to do it all on his own and United should bring in someone to ease the pressure of their star youngster.
With Martial’s hit and miss United career, United cannot fully rely on him either, which makes the need for a new forward even more important.
Frankfurt’s Sebastien Haller would be a brilliant addition to the Red Devils especially after the amazing season he has had. The Frenchman scored 20 goals and provided 12 assists in a devastating partnership with Luka Jovic up front.
Haller’s performances have gone under the radar due to the Serbian’s brilliant campaign but with Jovic now gone, Frankfurt will try their best to keep hold of their star Frenchman to progress as a club next season.
Standing at 6ft 1in, Haller is brilliant in the air but the real eye-catcher has been his ability with the ball. The Frenchman is at immense ease while moving the ball forward and he has the exceptional vision to find his teammates in dangerous areas.
In front of goal, Haller is one of the most composed finishers in the Bundesliga. The 24-year-old never seems to be fazed under pressure inside the box, which is a quality that United have lacked at times this season.

Sebastien Haller has the potential to be everything that Romelu Lukaku has failed to be in a Manchester United shirt.
The Frenchman is at the perfect age to move away to a big club and joining one of the biggest in England is a no-brainer. United should go all out to sign Seb Haller to replace Lukaku this summer.
