Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 13: Players you must have in your team

Yet another week of the Barclays Premier league is amongst us and all of the fantasy Premier League managers all around the Globe are scratching their heads to fine tune their best possible eleven. We here at Soccersouls provide our readers with the best possible squad selection, top bargains buys and seasoned players and pick your captain as well.

Goalkeeper:

As Liverpool take travel to the KC Stadium to take on Hull City, it might be expected that the Reds from Merseyside can keep a clean sheet. The Tigers haven’t been in great form and have won only once in the last six matches and are expected not to trouble Simon Mingolet’s goal. The Belgian has kept five clean sheets already this season and is a good bet to add to that tally against Steve Bruce’s men. At just 5 points, Mingolet is worth taking the risk for your FPL team.

Defenders:

In-form Mertesacker

Per Mertesacker : The German has been in inspirational form for the Gunners whether it comes to keeping clean sheets or winning crucial headers and scoring from corners. As Arsenal line up against an inspiring Cardiff City side who held Manchester United last week, Mertesacker is worth the bet at 5 points for your team. You can also consider Koscielny if you want further variations.

Moreover, if you are on a shoe string budget, Newcastle United’s Mark Williamson, who will play at centre back against West Brom at the Sports Direct Arena is a great bet to have in your team. It is also a good time to transfer out Southampton defenders as Saints have back to back tough fixtures.

Midfielders:

Jesus Navas

Jesus Navas: After an inspiring display against Tottenham last week, Jesus Navas has to be your pick if you are willing to spend 8 million for a midfielder who doesn’t take many set pieces. However, the attacking threat that the Spaniard possesses, Navas is ought to be a great buy as the Citizens host Swansea at the Ethihad on Sunday.

Dont’s: Arsenal fans please bear with me for this! FPL Managers please don’t go for Mesut Ozil. The German has been way below his best in recent weeks and missed a penalty too in midweek against Marseille. With Arsenal playing Cardiff City, a match the Gunners would be expected to win, I for one don’t see Ozil grabbing the headlines.

Strikers:

Take Rooney

Wayne Rooney : After setting four four goals in midweek against a talented Bayer Leverkusen side, Wayne Rooney is a must buy. Given United are in great form of late and play against a Tottenham side who are yet to settle, expect Rooney to bag more points.

Luis Suarez (Captain) : There is no doubt that the Hull City side will find it very hard to stop a rampaging Liverpool side who have Suarez and Sturridge up front. Gievn Suarez’s brilliance on the ball and panache of tearing apart any defence, the Uruguayan will perhaps be my best bet for the Captain role.

Sergio Aguero: Against Swansea, City would be expected to set the pitch on fire. Micheal Laudrup’s men will be exhausted after their game against Valencia and there is a sense of complacency setting in the Swansea side. Expect Aguero and co to deliver a hammering yet again.
