Luhukay to make 2 changes – Predicted 3-4-3 Sheffield Wednesday XI to face West Brom

Predicted Sheffield Wednesday line-up to face West Bromwich Albion

Sheffield Wednesday host league leaders West Bromwich Albion in this midweek’s Championship game at the Hillsborough stadium. The Owls have marginally improved their performance level in the past few weeks. Getting a credible draw against Leeds United on Friday was another feather in their growing season.

However, they will face a West Brom team who are in top form at the moment and are leading the league. The Baggies have won five of their last six games and are showing great pedigree under Darren Moore. Hence for Jos Luhukay’s men, this won’t be an easy game even though they are playing at home.

Team News

Sam Winnall and Almen Abdi are back in training but may not be included in the line-up for the midweek. Meanwhile, Kieran Lee, Gary Hooper and Joost van Aken are out with injuries. Luhukay changed the shape of his team against Aston Villa last week, and it has worked a treat so far.

Probable Sheffield Wednesday XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Jos Luhukay

Cameron Dawson (GK)

Struggled in the last game but overall, he has been good for the team.

Tom Lees

Tom Lees (RCB)

The skipper is enjoying his new role as a right-sided centre-back. He should continue there for the benefit of his team.

Michael Hector (CB)

A surprise inclusion last week but Hector has done well in the two games he has played thus far.

Daniel Pudil (LCB)

The veteran could be back in the side from a knock to add experience to the back-line.

Liam Palmer (RWB)

Ashley Baker went off injured against Leeds. Expect Palmer to start at right wing-back against West Brom.

Joey Pelupessy

Joey Pelupessy (CM)

Pelupessy has done well in recent weeks after a stuttering start to the season. With Barry Bannan absent for this game due to suspension, the Dutchman needs to up his game against the Baggies.

Josh Onomah (CM)

The Tottenham loanee could get his start because of Bannan’s one-game suspension.

Matt Penney (LWB)

The youngster shows his inexperience at times while defending certain situations. However, he is still good enough to take up the left wing-back role for the Owls.

Adam Reach (RW)

Scored an unreal goal on Friday and performed well. However, he needs to add a bit more to his game in terms of attacking threat.

Steven Fletcher

Steven Fletcher (ST)

The veteran struggled in the last game but he still shows his worth whenever he gets a chance to trouble the defence.

Fernando Forestieri (LW)

The Argentine has been good for the Owls since switching to the left-wing position.
