Tom Carroll To Play A Huge Role – (4-3-3) Projected Swansea City Line-Up To Face Burnley

(4-3-3) Projected Swansea City Line-Up To Face Burnley

Swansea City will be welcoming 11th placed Burnley on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium in match week 27 of the Premier League.

The Swans are involved in the battle to survive relegation and are currently placed in 16th position, two points above the drop zone. They will be coming into this game having tasted defeat at the hands of Chelsea last weekend and will be hoping to get a better outcome this time around against Sean Dyche’s men who haven’t had the best time away from home.

The Welsh outfit got the better of the Clarets the last time these two met at the Turf Moor on the first day of the season, defeating them 1-0. And they will be hoping for a similar result on Saturday. Manager Paul Clement will be without the services of wingers Nathan Dyer and Jefferson Montero while midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung is also unavailable for selection. However, Clement will not look to change much as he looks to find a stable XI in a bid to fight their relegation battles.

Predicted Swansea Line-Up:

Formation: 4-3-3

Lukasz Fabianski (GK)

The former Arsenal shot-stopper had a mixed outing against Chelsea last weekend. He will look to protect his goal better against the Clarets.

Kyle Naughton (RB)

The former Tottenham man has been the preferred option at right-back ahead of Angel Rangel this term. Expect no changes here on Saturday.

Federico Fernandez (CB)

The Argentine defender has been a constant fixture in the Swansea backline under Paul Clement. He will take the pitch from kick-off against Burnley.

Alfie Mawson (CB)

Partnering Fernandez in defence will be Alfie Mawson. The Englishman has impressed heavily since joining with the Swans and will start on Saturday afternoon.

Martin Olsson (LB)

The January arrival has been a revelation since his move and has become a key component of the Swansea side. He will complete the back-four for the Burnley encounter at the Liberty Stadium.

Leroy Fer (CM)

The Dutchman provides the energy and the drive in the midfield for Swansea. He will have a huge role to play going forward on Saturday if his team are to dismantle a strong Burnley defence.

Jack Cork (CM)

The Swans’ captain will feature in the middle of the midfield three and will provide the defensive cover for his backline.

Tom Carroll (CM)

The January signing has been exceptional since arriving from Tottenham and his energy and creativity will play a huge role in the upcoming fixtures for Swansea.

Wayne Routledge (RW)

The English winger put in a strong display against Chelsea and will hold onto his place in the starting XI ahead of the new signing Luciano Narsingh.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (LW)

The Iceman has been instrumental for the Swans this campaign, constantly providing them with goals and assists cutting in from the left-flank to devastating effect. He is the first name on the teamsheet week in week out.

Fernando Llorente (ST)

The Spanish striker has found his goal-scoring boots once again and scored Swansea’s sole goal against Chelsea last week. He will lead the line against the Clarets on Saturday.
