Lingard And Mkhitaryan To Start – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Manchester United Line-Up To Face Feyenoord

Share

Though not at their best early this season, Manchester United were disappointed to have taken just a point from the weekend’s clash against Arsenal, that sees them stay at the 6th place in the points table. Mourinho will now turn his attention towards the Europe League group stage encounter against Feyenoord this week. United are currently in the third place in the group and will need a victory to keep their hopes alive and Jose Mourinho will know that he will have to set up his best team to get all three points from this home game. There are plenty of options for the manager for this game and here is the predicted lineup that Mourinho might field for this game:

Team News:

Eric Bailly, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Chris Smalling are the only players absent from this game against Feyenoord. Marouane Fellaini is expected to be back in action for this game but it is to be seen if Mourinho will push him into action straight away.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

David de Gea:

The Spaniard is the first choice shot-stopper for United this season and there is no reason why Mourinho would want to tinker with him for this crunch game.

Antonio Valencia:

After making a miraculous return from injury at the weekend, Valencia should keep his place in the side as a right-back for this game.

Phil Jones:

The English international was solid at the back for Mourinho against Arsenal and he should keep his place in the side for this game against Feyenoord.

Daley Blind:

Having missed out on the game at the weekend, the Dutch international should be back in action this weekend and will play as a centre-back on the night.

Marcos Rojo:

Picking up some form recently, Rojo has been superb at the back for United for the last few game and he should start as a left-back for United for this game.

Morgan Schneiderlin:

The French midfielder should replace Michael Carrick, the English veteran, who might not be able to play his second game of the week after a 90-minute outing at the weekend.

Ander Herrera:

The most impressive player in the midfield in the game against Arsenal, Herrera, has added some balance to this United squad and should keep his place in the side for this game.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan:

The Armenian winger has been disrupted by injuries since his move to England but Mourinho revealed that he will start this game and he should start on the right flank on the night.

Paul Pogba:

The French international was his usual self against Arsenal but he will have to play a more important role in this game against Feyenoord.

Jesse Lingard:

The English youngster has been a decent option for Mourinho and he should start this game on the other wing for Manchester United.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic:

Having missed the game at the weekend through suspension, the Swedish striker will be fresh, fit and ready to take on Feyenoord in this Europa League group game.
