Leeds United opinion: Should the Whites sell Jack Clarke?

Leeds United starlet Jack Clarke has been linked with a move away from Elland Road with Tottenham looking as his potential suitors.

Mauricio Pochettino looks to be in higher spirits after leading his side to a Champions League final and the Argentine wants to break the transfer drought in the current transfer window. The North London club want Clarke, who is valued at £20million, as their first summer signing.

Clarke’s breakout season with Leeds

The 19-year-old reserves talent got promoted to Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team this season and didn’t fail to live up to his expectations. Clarke bagged a four-goal tally in 25 appearances, a decent stat for a player who was out for a month due to health issues and appeared mainly as a substitute.

Furthermore, he also won the club’s young player of the season. He is predominantly used as a winger on the left-flank but he also can play on the other side of the flank.

Why should Leeds hold on to Clarke?

Jack Harrison, who is bound to Manchester City, enjoyed a decent loan spell and the Whites are willing to buy him on a permanent deal. The Cityzens, in return, imposed a hefty £20million price tag for the permanent capture of the winger.

Instead of going all out for Harrison, the Whites have an option off the shelf named Clarke.
