Roofe has been pivotal for Marcelo Bielsa’s side scoring 14 goals out of 26 appearances and also helping his side to third in the table.

The English striker suffered a knee ligament injury in the game against Swansea last week and is set to spend his time on the sidelines.

Alongside Patrick Bramford, Tyler Roberts has the chance to fill in the shoes of Roofe.

The former West Brom player was bought in 2018 and had an awful start to the campaign suffering a knee ligament injury.

After nearly spending five months at the sidelines, Roberts made a promising return this season providing some valuable contribution.

Out of 15 appearances, he was able to garner three goals and an assist to his name.

Although being second fiddle to injured Roofe, the 20-year-old has been in the fine form and could rise up to the occasion.

Injuries affecting Leeds’ options

Bamford who also had a similar injury record this season made his return earlier this month.

Robert’s wonderful run arrived in October where he scored three goals of the four matches. Since then he was often used as a substitute by Marcelo Bielsa.

After a terrible start to this year, Leeds have managed to restore their form with two important results, a draw against the Middlesbrough followed by an emphatic win over Swansea.
