Leeds United News: Leeds United target Daniel James chased by the Premier League giants

Leeds United News: Leeds United target Daniel James has caught the interest of Manchester City, reports The Sun.

The Whites missed out the chance to sign the Welsh winger back in January for a reported value of £7million.

Following that, James has attracted a swarm of Premier League giants owing to his exquisite form for Swansea and his country.

Fall out of the signing

After getting his medical done, the 21-year-old was speculated to join the Elland Road club back in January.  Later, the Welsh club decided to snub the agreement on the deadline day of the transfer window thus disappointing the Whites.

The Chief Executive of Leeds pointed out the incident as a result of internal politics and insisted the winger would remain a priority for them. (h/t The Bristol Live)

Exceptional in the international break

James was heaped with praises by the fans following his wonderful display for Wales in the Euro qualifiers. He scored the winning goal against Slovakia.

And for the swans, the winger has been pivotal this season scoring two goals and created four more over 20 championship games.

Playing style

James is synonymous with both the winger and attacking midfielder positions. His relentless place down the flanks has drawn comparisons with his national mate Gareth Bale.

Furthermore, the Winger’s price might rise up which could hinder the Argentine manager persuading him to the Elland Road.

Leeds are currently third in the championship table trailing Sheffield United by a point.

And if the standings remain the same after the end of the championship, they would be forced to the playoffs in order to secure a place in Premier League.
