The 26-year-old  has been one of the star strikers for the Whites this season, bagging 14 goals across all competitions.

However, his progress got obstructed by a knee ligament injury which put him on the sidelines for months.

His absence also reflected on the Whites’ results, as they failed to secure automatic promotion, owing to a string of defeats in the crucial stage.

Patrick Bamford, who stepped up in for Roofe, was also inconsistent in terms of performance and drew criticism from fans.

Roofe progressed through the youth ranks of West Bromwich Albion and spent his loan spells at a swarm of clubs before moving to Elland Road.

The former Oxford United has played more than 100 matches until now, scoring more than 30 goals.

He also missed a crucial game against Aston Villa last week, owing to a hip injury. The match ended in a draw as both the sides scored controversial goals.

Marcelo Bielsa announced that Roofe could return to the side for the Ipswich Town clash. And his international break could help him a lot in restoring his actual form.

Sheffield United, Leeds’ promotion rivals, ensured their place in England’s top flight next season along with Norwich City.

The playoffs will be played this month and the Argentine manager is optimistic about Premier League next season.
