Predicted Derby County line-up to face QPR in the Championship

Derby County travel to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers in the Championship on Saturday as Frank Lampard aims to bounce back to winning ways.

Derby drew 1-1 with Norwich City in midweek and lost to Bolton prior to that game. The Rams have only won one of their last five league matches but are only out of the playoffs on goal difference.

Frank Lampard will hope his boys get three points on the board against QPR, who beat Reading in the midweek.

Team News

Midfielder George Evans is not yet ready for action as he continues his recovery from a knee injury. Curtis Davies played for 70 minutes for Derby U23s against Brighton after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Meanwhile, Marcus Olsson is a long-term absentee.

Scott Carson

Probable Derby County XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Frank Lampard

Scott Carson (GK)

Carson is the undisputed No.1 in goal for Derby and he should start the game against QPR on Saturday.

Jayden Bogle (RB)

Bogle’s consistent displays at right-back mean Lampard cannot even think of dropping the teenager. He is a certain starter.

Richard Keogh (CB)

Keogh has been a pillar at the back for Derby, leading the team by example. He’s not quite elegant on the ball but is a defender who can be relied upon.

Fikayo Tomori (CB)

Tomori has forged a strong partnership at the back with skipper Keogh. He is set to retain his place in the starting XI.

Scott Malone (LB)

Malone is an attacking outlet on the left, gets forward well and is a fantastic crosser of the ball.

Bradley Johnson (CM)

Johnson is a combative midfielder who offers security to the back-four and also join the attack whenever required.

Craig Bryson (CM)

Scored the equaliser for Derby against Norwich. Bryson will be raring to get on the scoresheet vs QPR.

Tom Lawrence (LW)

Lawrence will give Derby’s attack the width and pace on the break. He will now be eager to nail down his place in the starting line-up after serving his three-game suspension.

Mason Mount (CAM)

Derby’s standout performer so far, Mount adds creativity and enterprise to the attack. He is a sure starter for the weekend game.

Mason Mount

Harry Wilson (RW)

Wilson will look to continue his good run of form since returning from injury. He needs to be at his best to boost Derby’s chances of winning at Loftus Road.

Jack Marriott (ST)

Perhaps this game is tailor-made for Marriott’s pace and intelligent movement over Nugent’s experience.
