Jota, Bonatini To Start – Strongest Possible 3-4-3 Wolves Lineup To Face Hull City

Predicted Wolves Lineup To Face Hull City In The EFL Championship

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ start to the season has been outstanding and they are yet to concede a goal. Their wins against Middlesbrough, Yeovil in the cup and Derby County have raised the sort of eyebrows I fully expected them to, given the squad they have accumulated.

That squad go to war again on Tuesday night at Hull and can make a real statement by adding a second away win in the league and announcing themselves as early title favourites.

A version of a 3-4-3 or 5-2-3 formation could be employed once again by Nuno Espirito Santo using the following eleven players from the start:

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo

GK – John Ruddy

The former Norwich man has deservedly found himself in a good team and could have a real crack at the Premier League before long.

CB – Roderick Miranda

The Portuguese defender has made a decent start and could well go on to lead from the back in a title-winning campaign at Molineux.

CB – Conor Coady

The former midfielder did well first of all as a converted right-back and now as a bona fide defender and can carry on in the side here.

CB – Willy Boly

Another of Wolves’ classy defenders bound one day for the top level, Boly should keep his place in the XI.

Willy Boly

RWB – Matt Doherty

A tad surprisingly, Doherty has been a key player in this position and is attacking well on the right-hand side.

CM – Romain Saiss

Already building up a nice partnership with Neves, Saiss has quietly gone about his business in a solid looking side.

CM – Ruben Neves

Another start is expected for the big money buy who is destined for big things.

LWB – Barry Douglas

Scorer of the first goal at Pride Park last time, Douglas is doing very well in this role and looks like a bargain.

Ivan Cavaleiro

RW – Ivan Cavaleiro

A goal scorer last time, Cavaleiro may be given a start here at the expense of Enobakhare.

LW – Diogo Jota

An interesting player and one whose movement will undoubtedly cause Hull City problems here. If Jota and pals had no trouble dispatching Curtis Davies and Tom Huddlestone, they should have no issue doing the same to the team they left.

ST – Leo Bonatini

The striker was subbed off last time but should be given another chance to start in the number nine position. Goals will undoubtedly arrive for the Brazilian as he gets increasingly used to this division.
