Jose Mourinho: ‘We Can’t Match Arsenal’

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho openly admitted that his current Chelsea side, or any other premier league side can never beat Arsenal’s invincible season in 2003/04 campaign, where they went an entire league season without a single defeat.

‘The Invincibles’ squad featured legends of the game including Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira and others.

Arsenal v Chelsea

After six games into this season, Chelsea and Arsenal are the only two unbeaten teams left in the league. It may change soon as they face each other in a super Sunday clash at Stamford bridge tomorow. Last time when these two English Giants met each other, Mourinho led Chelsea side thrashed the gunners with the score-line 6-0.

Mourinho said,

“It’s something that happened once in a lifetime,”

“I don’t see, in modern football with the competitiveness of this Premier League, one team being champion without a defeat.

“That will stay in the history as the second and the last time.

“(That is) my opinion, but we don’t know.”

Preston was the other team who also went an entire season unbeaten during 1880 league season.
