Is This Tottenham’s Best XI?

Share

Tottenham Hotspur have done the most business among English clubs this season. They have sold Gareth Bale to Real for a record breaking fee and have brought in a host of new players with that money. AVB has a surmountable job now to get the team in order and bring in the desired results and the elusive Champion’s League spot. This is how the team should look like for the majority of the matches this season.

Hugo Lloris- One of the best in the business, the France national team captain has done his job with the utmost sincerity and any striker has to be real good to get past him.

Kyle Walker- A very solid right back, definitely a national team player after Glen Johnson. Has a knack of attacking with his fierce runs.

Jan Vertonghen- A decent centre back, makes it difficult for the opposition to get past him.

Michael Dawson– A trusted lieutenant for Spurs, whatever he lacks in skills, he makes it up with his effort.

Danny Rose- The young gun has really impressed thus far. A bit lacking in the defensive qualities, but his attacking instincts a real boon for the team.

Paulinho– One of the bargain signings of the summer. The Brazilian has thus far controlled the midfield from the deep with his occasional fierce shots towards the goal.

Sandro – Arguably Spurs’ best player to start the season last year, Sandro was forced out for several months with injury. However the Brazilan is back into contention and will provide a midfield steel for Spurs which was not there last season.

Erik Lamela– A new recruit for the Spurs from Roma. One of the best young midfielders around and he can do wonders for the team from the flanks.

Christian Eriksen– Yet another new comer for the club. Has done brilliant things for Ajax from the centre of the field and can be tipped to do so in the English League.

Nacer Chadli– He has really impressed till now and should be a big success from the left wing.

Roberto Soldado– The Spanish star has done decently till now and should be a big thing once he settles down.
