Is The Malaga Midfielder Chelsea Bound ?

Share

Isco the highly rated Spanish midfielder from Malaga, is he really Chelsea bound this summer ? In short the answer is yes, however there might be a few complications involved in it.

First of all, it is worth Malaga’s situation. Financially unstable and they’ve been banned from all European competitions the next 3 seasons, which means no Champions League or Europa League. This is a big factor in why Isco might seek a move away from the club.

Secondly, the whole Lucas Piazon deal. There’s definitely a motive behind sending him to Malaga of all clubs. A move to the Championship, or even another Premier League club would’ve made much more sense if there was no catch behind it, which there is. And it is only for Isco, rumours suggest.

Apparently, Lucas Piazon is still going to be considered a “home-grown” player despite this loan move but never the less, it definitely has something to do with Isco. According to some reports, Chelsea will be seeking to bring the youngster to Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window, but Malaga won’t allow him to leave until Summer which sounds probable.

In all fairness, Chelsea are not in a desperate requirement for any midfielder at-least until the start of next season anyway. This is a transitional season, and with only the Carling Cup & FA Cup as well as Champions League qualification to play for, it would be better for him to start with a full pre-season for the Blues.

This is a thought from the soccersouls team after hearing all the news around the transfer market. No more players’will join Chelsea in January, but they are in for an exciting summer as always.
