Tottenham’s chances of progressing into the knockout round of the Champions League hit another stumbling block as they dropped two points vs PSV. Lucas Moura and Harry Kane scored on either side of Hirving Lozano’s opener to almost win the game for Spurs.
But Hugo Lloris got sent off later in the game, which provided the opening for the home side. Luuk de Jong then scored late to share the spoils. A draw doesn’t do a favour to either team, as this is the result Inter Milan would have wanted after losing to Barcelona.
Couldn’t do anything for the first goal, but his dash out of the box to win a sliding challenge was naive from such an experienced player. That red card put his team in trouble.
Did well down the right-hand side. Provided the assist for Moura and looked threatening.
Looked comfortable on the ball, however, he was a bit slow at times in reading the danger.
Was caught on the ball by Lozano but he almost made a recovery tackle to stop the goal, only to fail. A sticky game for him.
Didn’t look at ease out there, especially in the first half. PSV players attacked his side more to expose the lack of confidence.
Performed his role well by winning duels in the midfield and keeping the team ticking. Simple but effective.
Lacked the discipline in the first half and struggled to cope with the dynamism of the PSV midfield at times.
Scored the goal via a deflection but other than that, the Brazilian had a quiet night.
Showed flashes of brilliance on the ball after coming back from injury. He gave the ball away to start the incident of Lloris’ red card.
Failed to make much of an impact in the first half but grew into the game later.
Hit the woodwork in the first half and scored a good header after the interval. A lack of service meant the England captain was quiet at times.
Tried to inject something into the attack but the final ball wasn’t up to the mark.
Came on to shore up the midfield as Dembele struggled after getting a yellow card.
