Brighton & Hove Albion stunned a lackadaisical Manchester United 3-2 to win their first game of this season. It was the first shock of considerable measure in the 2018/19 Premier League campaign so far.
Three first-half goals from Glenn Murray, Shane Duffy and Pascal Gross ensured the points for Chris Hughton’s men. United scored through Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba but it wasn’t enough to even get a point at the Amex Stadium.
For sure, this is a famous win for Brighton and their fans. The players responded brilliantly after a no-show last week against Watford.
Was commanding and comfortable in what he did. Made a wicked save to deny Paul Pogba late on.
Made his Brighton debut today and looked at ease. The Spaniard was good defensively and tenacious in tackling.
Scored a goal, which is rare, and led the backline very well, especially after the premature departure of Lewis Dunk.
Made a mistake, which compounded when he got injured trying to retrieve that ball. Hobbled off after twenty minutes.
Was solid in defence and made some good overlapping runs past Solly March.
Worked hard and stopped United midfielders from having an easy time on the ball. A good performance.
He was the aggressor from midfield and did well to find forward passes in counter-attacking situations. Covered the ground well to protect the backline.
Was lively in winning the ball back at times and was creative whenever he had possession. He is improving his overall game.
A really good performance from the local boy. A fantastic assist for Glenn Murray’s goal.
Won the penalty and scored. Gave United a lot of problems with clever runs and passes forward.
Produced a sensational flick finish to leave everyone in awe. Led the line well with his typical use of physicality. Was a constant nuisance for Eric Bailly.
Came on to replace Dunk and looked confident in defending. He is a good addition for the Seagulls this season.
Did not get much time to make an impact.

Just like Kayal, Locadia too came on very late and couldn’t make an impact.
