Predicted West Brom line-up to face Norwich City in the Championship

West Brom will be aiming to get back to winning ways in the league when they face second-placed Norwich City at the Hawthorns this Saturday. Darren Moore’s side got the win in the FA Cup third round, but they suffered a defeat at Blackburn in their previous league game. Hence, a return to form in the division would be key in their hopes for promotion.

They are up against a Norwich side who are second in the table and on course to get promoted to the Premier League. However, there is a long way to go yet. All in all, it is going to be an intense game between two equally matched teams in the league.

Team News

Jake Livermore is suspended for this game after collecting a red card against Blackburn. Boaz Myhill is suffering from a virus and would be touch and go. Ahmed Hegazy and Dwight Gayle are out.

Probable West Brom XI

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Manager: Darren Moore

Sam Johnstone (GK)

He was beaten from a corner in the previous league game, which should never have happened. West Brom would be hoping for better.

Tosin Adarabioyo (RB)

He played in central defence in the FA Cup game, however, expect him to revert to the right-back position.

Craig Dawson

Craig Dawson (CB)

He is been a solid presence at the back and a real threat from set-pieces. The Englishman should start in central defence.

Kyle Bartley (CB)

He was much better in the last league game against Blackburn, probably due to the fact that he didn’t have many Albion fans at the back. The centre-back would be expecting to repeat that performance on Saturday.

Kieran Gibbs (LB)

He has been an ever-present figure at left-back and will continue to do so in the upcoming games. Was rightly rested for the FA Cup match.

Matt Phillips (RW)

He has been impressive this season and deservedly got a rest for the Cup game. The Scot should be back in the line-up.

Gareth Barry

Gareth Barry (CM)

The veteran continues to perform whenever the opportunity comes his way. He should start this high-pressure game.

James Morrison (CM)

The experienced midfielder had a great game in central midfield last time around, expect him to keep his place alongside Barry.

Harvey Barnes (LW)

The loanee from Leicester City has had a terrific campaign thus far. He is a proper livewire on the left wing. The Norwich defence will be scared of him.

Jay Rodriguez

Hal Robson-Kanu (SS)x

The Welshman didn’t have his best game at Ewood Park on New Year’s Day. Moore would be expecting an improvement from him.

Jay Rodriguez (ST)

He scored the penalty in the previous league game but couldn’t really do much other than that. With Gayle out injured, the Baggies need more from the Burnley-born striker.
