Predicted Burnley line-up to face Leicester City in the Premier League

Burnley succumbed to another embarrassing 4-2 defeat to West Ham United last weekend but the Clarets did have some positives to take from the game. Sean Dyche’s men have been dreadful at the back this season and must keep their concentration high when they travel to the King Power Stadium this weekend.

Leicester City picked up a win after an emotional and devastating week for the club. They will be determined and motivated to continue their good form.

Team News

Ben Gibson is yet to recover and will be unavailable. Stephen Ward is still out as well. James Tarkowski will also be unavailable through a hernia problem. Sean Dyche will miss out on a number of his stars and should make do with what he has.

Burnley predicted XI

Manager: Sean Dyche

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Joe Hart (GK)

Has been positive despite Burnley’s poor form. He has bailed them out on many occasions.

Matthew Lowton (RB)

Lowton lacks the intensity and urgency he showed last season. He should nevertheless keep his place.

Kevin Long (CB)

Long could come in for James Tarkowski for this game. He has shown he is more than capable.

Ben Mee (CB)

Made an outstanding save last time out and has always led them from the back.

Ben Mee

Charlie Taylor (LB)

With Ward still out injured, Taylor must continue at left-back.

Berg Gudmundsson (RM)

Scored a goal and has arguably been their best player so far. The Iceland international is their main source of supply as well.

Ashley Westwood (RCM)

Needs to show more consistency in his displays. Burnley are often outplayed in the midfield.

Steven Defour (LCM)

Has looked good since returning from injury. He should start in central midfield for this one as well.

Aaron Lennon (LM)

Lennon has been barely productive or dangerous so far. He really needs to do more.

Matej Vydra (CAM)

After making a positive start, Vydra hasn’t managed to maintain his goal-scoring prowess. But he should sit behind the striker for this game as well.
