Predicted Bournemouth line-up to face Newcastle in the Premier League

Bournemouth will travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Eddie Howe’s men were beaten last weekend at the hands of Manchester United but they have enjoyed a fine start to the season and find themselves sixth in the Premier League table.

Newcastle United, meanwhile, got their first win of the campaign against Watford and they will hope to back it up with three points against the Cherries.

Team News

Joshua King is doubtful for the Newcastle game due to an ankle injury. Other than King, Eddie Howe has no fresh injury concerns.

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Manager: Eddie Howe

Asmir Begovic (GK)

Begovic is Bournemouth’s undisputed no.1 in goal and should start the game against Newcastle.

Simon Francis (RB)

The skipper of the team, Francis has been quite solid at right-back. He will look to keep Kenedy at bay.

Steve Cook (CB)

Cook is a no-nonsense defender who excels in tough tackling and winning aerial duels.

Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake (CB)

One of the first names on the team-sheet, Ake has started the season very well and will look to continue his good form.

Junior Stanislas (RW)

Stanislas had a good game against Manchester United, picking up an assist in the game. He could be rewarded with another start by Howe.

Lewis Cook (CM)

A smooth operator of the ball, Cook is capable of playing those defence-splitting passes from the middle of the park. He is a certain starter at Newcastle.

Jefferson Lerma (CM)

Lerma is an aggressive midfielder who brings power and energy to the Bournemouth midfield. The Colombian needs to careful against Newcastle as he is one booking away from suspension.

Ryan Fraser (LW)

Fraser is an indispensable figure to the Bournemouth side. The energy, creativity and pace he brings on the counter-attacks is simply invaluable.

David Brooks (SS)

Brooks is glowing with confidence at the moment. He is a clever customer and is finally starting to show his quality week in and week out in Bournemouth colours.
