[Image] Predicted 4-3-3 Tottenham XI to face Bournemouth – Can Spurs keep hold of 3rd place?

Bournemouth vs Tottenham predictions: Tottenham line-up

Ajax did it again away from home and while the game wasn’t close to call at all, Tottenham were still dominated. However, the game still finished 1-0 with Ajax walking away with a crucial away goal. That gives Tottenham a small chance but it does make it a little impossible.

This puts the onus on the league match and though Bournemouth have struggled, they still remain a tough side to play. The likes of Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser, and David Brooks are all in great form, which makes the game even harder. However, at the same time, injuries to various players mean that the North London side will have to play their first team.

They are still in the race for the top four, although the 1-0 loss to West Ham last weekend did hurt their chances but Tottenham still have it in their hands as winning their final two games would ensure their place in the Champions League next season.

Team News

Harry Kane is probably out for the season (Guardian) and Moussa Sissoko made his return in the mid-week clash. This does give manager Mauricio Pochettino a headache but Eric Dier is back to full fitness.

Barring that, Pochettino still has Erik Lamela, Harry Winks and Serge Aurier out with long-term injuries.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Was not at his best against Ajax and the Frenchman needs to improve if his team are to seal a Champions League spot.

Kyle Walker-Peters (RB)

The 21-year-old has done relatively well when called upon and with the second leg against Ajax next week, he should make his way onto the team-sheet.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

The young Colombian has done well but was another player who struggled against Ajax and will have to step up.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

With Vertonghen walking off the field injured, it leaves the club with just two centre-backs in the squad. Alderweireld is a sure starter.

Ben Davies (LB)

Rose started against Ajax and should be rested against Bournemouth, with the second leg on the horizon.

Eric Dier (CM)

With injuries elsewhere, Mauricio Pochettino should opt for the Englishman in the midfield.

Oliver Skipp (CM)

Victor Wanyama was rewarded with a start against Ajax and should thus be replaced by youngster Oliver Skipp.

Dele Alli (CM)

The Tottenham midfielder did well against Ajax and will have to play due to injuries elsewhere.

Son Heung-min (RW)

Unable to play against Ajax, Son should start against both Bournemouth and Ajax in the second leg.

Lucas Moura (LW)

Among the club’s best players this season, Moura has to keep his place if Spurs are to have a chance of finishing in the top four.

Vincent Janssen (CF)

With Fernando Llorente playing the full game against Ajax, Janssen should start.

Siddhant Lazar

Tom Landry once said "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Football is and always will be the beautiful game. What every child understands, yet every adult struggles to, is that it is a game that defines the nature of the universe. But that's just me.
