Predicted Man United line-up to face Bournemouth in the Premier League

Manchester United will entertain Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aims to make three wins out of three in the Premier League.

The Red Devils defeated Huddersfield Town 3-1 at the weekend, so Solskjaer will be hoping his players can continue marching on.

United’s opponents on Sunday are Bournemouth, who were beaten 5-0 by Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.

Team News

Solskjaer gave a positive injury update ahead of the Bournemouth game, confirming that the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial could be in contention.

Meanwhile, Chris Smalling and Scott McTominay are set to miss Sunday’s game with injuries.

Probable Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

David De Gea (GK)

De Gea deserved a clean sheet against Huddersfield but Jorgensen scored. He’ll be desperate to keep one on Sunday.

Ashley Young (RB)

Came on after halftime against Huddersfield and made an impact. Young should get the nod ahead of Dalot for the Bournemouth game.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

Lindelof has looked calm and assured in possession in the last two games under Solskjaer. Deserves to keep his place in the team.

Phil Jones (CB)

Jones has done admirably well alongside Lindelof at the heart of the Manchester United defence against Cardiff and Huddersfield. A certain starter for the weekend fixture.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Shaw has been a consistent performer this season and is expected to start against Bournemouth.

Nemanja Matic (CDM)

Matic looks revitalised under Solskjaer, running more and dictating the pace of the game from a deeper position.

Paul Pogba

Ander Herrera (RCM)

An energetic player, Herrera’s presence in the middle of the park would give Pogba the license to thrive in an advanced role.

Paul Pogba (LCM)

With two goals and three assists in the last two games, Pogba has finally looks like the real deal. The Frenchman is a definite starter against Bournemouth at home.

Anthony Martial (LW)

Missed the Huddersfield game with an illness but should be back on Sunday. With his pace and trickery, Martial could give the Bournemouth defenders a tough time.

Anthony Martial

Jesse Lingard (RW)

Lingard loves to pick up the pockets of spaces behind the opposition backline, which makes him such a tricky customer to deal with. On Sunday, he is expected to start on the right wing.
