After an emphatic 4-1 thrashing of Leicester City away from home, Crystal Palace host Manchester United on Wednesday. After two wins their last three games, Roy Hodgson’s side will be on a high as they take on an injury-hit Manchester United side. 

Team news

Central defensive duo of Martin Kelly and Mamadou Sakho are both ruled out for the game due to injuries. Aaron Wan-Bisakka is also ruled out with a hamstring problem.

Pape Souare, Julian Speroni and Connor Wickham are the other long-term absentees for Palace.

Vincente Guaita (GK)

The former Getafe man has established himself as the first-choice at the club and is set to continue there on Wednesday.

Joel Ward (RB)

The 29-year-old started the weekend game against Leicester and should continue at right-back on Wednesday.

James Tomkins (CB)

The former West Ham man has played 23 games so far this season under Roy Hodgson and will play a major part for Palace if they are to get a result against Manchester United.

Scott Dann (CB)

The 32-year-old veteran is expected to return to the starting line-up due to injuries to Martin Kelly and Mamadou Sakho. 

Patrick van Aanholt (LB)

A mainstay in Palace’s backline, he has played every minute of the season so far and should start on Wednesday.

James McArthur (CM)

The 31-year-old, like Sakho and van Aanholt, has played every game this season and his shot gave the lead for Palace on Saturday. He should start in a 3-man midfield on Wednesday.

Luka Milivojevic (CDM)

The Palace captain got on the score-sheet against Leicester from the penalty spot and is an important part of Roy Hodgson’s side. He should start in central midfield. 

Jeffrey Schlupp (CM)

The 26-year-old has been accommodated in central midfield. He should start this game.

Andros Townsend (RW)

Another Palace player who has played every game this season, Andros Townsend has scored three goals and picked up four assists so far and should start on the right wing.

Wilfried Zaha (LW)

After a brilliant brace on Saturday against Leicester, Zaha will look to continue his form and get on the scoresheet against his former club.
