QPR v Leeds United Predictions: Leeds United line-up

After winning their previous two league games, Leeds United will be aiming to make the most of their game in hand when they face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Currently, the Peacocks are third in the table, but only two points behind leaders Norwich City, who have played a game extra. Hence, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have a chance to go back to the summit by beating their opponents tomorrow.

They are up against a QPR side who have lost seven games in a row. Thus, on paper, even if it is away from home, Leeds should fancy getting three points. However, nothing is guaranteed in football.

Team News

Kemar Roofe is out for a while. Jack Clarke and Adam Forshaw could be back for the weekend but that may come too soon for them. Barry Douglas is a doubt for this game.

Predicted Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

Kiko Casilla (GK)

He is their first-choice keeper after arriving in the January window. The former Real Madrid man is expected to be in goal for this game.

Luke Ayling (RB)

His form has gradually improved after a mediocre January. Ayling continues to start at right-back.

Luke Ayling

Pontus Jansson (CB)

The Swede was not at his usual high standards against Bolton in the weekend but was solid enough when required. He is a key player at the back and should start every league game.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The captain has done well in the past two games to lead his team from the back. His presence is vital to the team.

Ezgjan Alioski (LB)

Deputising for Douglas, Alioski is doing a fine job at left-back. Scored in the previous game and that would have given him more confidence for the future.

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

Phillips is probably the first-choice defensive midfielder/third centre-back in the team. He should start this game.

Kalvin Phillips

Mateusz Klich (LCM)

Klich’s energy in the midfield is always a plus point. He should start almost every league game if they are to be champions.

Tyler Roberts (RCM)

The youngster did well enough against Bolton to warrant a starting place for tomorrow’s game.

Pablo Hernandez (RW)

The experienced winger was close to his best at the weekend and holds the key for creating chances in the upcoming important games.

Pablo Hernandez

Stuart Dallas (LW)

Jack Harrison hasn’t been at his best in the last few games now, hence, a fit-again Dallas should get his chance on the left-hand side.

Patrick Bamford (ST)

Did well and successfully converted the penalty against Bolton. With Roofe expected to be out for five to six weeks, the former Middlesbrough man will have to shoulder the responsibility of putting the ball in the back of the net.
