Predicted Norwich City line-up to face West Brom in the Championship

Norwich City will turn their attention back to the Championship as they travel to the Hawthorns to face West Brom on Saturday.

The Canaries were dumped out of the FA Cup last weekend by Portsmouth, with Grant Hanley receiving a straight red card. Daniel Farke will expect his Norwich City side to bounce back and put in a stellar display against one of their promotion rivals, West Brom.

West Brom, meanwhile, are fourth in the table and will look to go level on points with Norwich by claiming a win at the Hawthorns.

Team News

Grant Hanley starts his three-match ban at West Brom after receiving a straight red card in the FA Cup defeat to Portsmouth.

Alex Tettey and Jamal Lewis are expected to be fit in time for the West Brom game. But Emi Buendia and Marco Stiepermann could be back after this weekend’s fixture. Meanwhile, Moritz Leitner could be back from injury at the start of February.

Probable Norwich City XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Daniel Farke

Tim Krul (GK)

Krul is Norwich’s No.1 and he’ll come back into the starting XI after sitting out against Portsmouth in the FA Cup.

Max Aarons (RB)

Aarons is an attacking right-back who always looks to get forward and put dangerous crosses into the box.

Christoph Zimmermann (CB)

Zimmermann is a rock-solid defender and will have to be at the top of his game to keep West Brom’s attackers at bay.

Timm Klose (CB)

With Hanley suspended, Klose could be his natural replacement to partner Zimmermann in central defence.

Ben Godfrey (LB)

Godfrey is doing well at left-back in the absence of Jamal Lewis and there is no point in making changes in that position.

Alex Tettey

Alex Tettey (CM)

Tettey’s presence in the engine room is important as it helps Norwich City tick. A reliable player, he’ll be tasked with shielding the shaky backline.

Tom Trybull (CM)

Trybull could be handed another chance after impressing in the FA Cup game. He is likely to partner Tettey in central midfield.

Onel Hernandez (LW)

With his explosive pace and dribbling skills, Hernandez could cause a lot of problems for the West Brom backline.

Mario Vrancic (CAM)

Vrancic will be fresh and raring to make his mark at West Brom after being an unused substitute in the FA Cup game.

Todd Cantwell (RW)

Cantwell has to up his game and deliver a top-quality performance at the weekend to guide Norwich City to all three points.
