Predicted Norwich City line-up to face Leeds in top of the table clash

Norwich City are coming into the game on the back of an unfortunate 2-2 draw against fellow title-chasers Sheffield United which saw them throw the lead away on two occasions.

This weekend’s fixture is even more important though as it could have a massive impact on the title race considering that they are playing against the league leaders.

A win against Leeds United in the weekend would take Norwich level on points at the top and if they manage to do it by a 3-goal margin, then Norwich can actually be on top of the table by the end of the week.

Team News

Louis Thompson and Carlton Morris are both out with knee and ankle injuries respectively and are expected to be back only towards the end of April.

Alexander Tettey is out with a thigh problem although he is expected to be back in the coming weeks. Also, Timm Klose and Moritz Leitner are both nursing minor knocks and are expected to be back in a few days.

Probable Norwich City XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Daniel Farke

GK – Tim Krul

Yet to miss a single game this season, the former Newcastle man has done very well and has managed to keep veteran McGovern out of the team.

RB – Maximillian Aarons

The 19-year-old has nailed down the starting role with some seriously impressive performances along the course of the season so far.

RCB – Christoph Zimmerman

Another first-team regular at Carrow Road, he has been solid for Norwich so far this season and deserves credit.

LCB – Ben Godfrey

The unexpected injury to Timm Klose has given the young defensive midfielder to show off his capabilities of playing at centre-half.

LB – Jamal Lewis

Another young player given a chance under Farke, Lewis has made the left-back role his own with his positive play.

LDM – Mario Vrancic

Alex Tettey’s absence has the potential to affect the Canaries badly but Vrancic can be a good replacement in defensive midfield.

RDM – Tom Trybull

Another player who will be forced in because of injuries, he should take Moritz Leitner’s place in the midfield until his return.

RAM – Emiliano Buendia

Possibly Norwich’s most creative threat, Buendia has been excellent for the Canaries all season and has gained the manager’s trust as well.

CAM – Marco Stieppermann

The German attacking midfielder is the main link between the striker and the midfield, and uses his movement and passing abilities very effectively.

LAM – Todd Cantwell

This is a position where Farke usually rotates between Cantwell and Hernandez. Expect the youngster to get the start this week.
