Predicted Fulham line-up to face Manchester United in the Premier League

After getting a point against Leicester City in the midweek, Fulham would be aiming to ruffle a few feathers when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford this weekend. Claudio Ranieri’s men had enough chances to seal three points against the Foxes but couldn’t. However, there have been signs of improvement under the new boss.

They are up against a United team who have been mediocre so far this season. Jose Mourinho’s men are deservedly eighth in the table right now and will be aiming to win on Saturday. That doesn’t make the Cottagers’ task any easier.

Team News

Kevin McDonald is an injury doubt. Floyd Ayite is still a fair bit away from returning to first-team action.

Probable Fulham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Claudio Ranieri

Sergio Rico (GK)

The Spaniard has been fantastic for the Cottagers. He again made a few good saves against Leicester.

Cyrus Christie

Cyrus Christie (RB)

The Irishman looks much more secure at right-back, probably his best position.

Denis Odoi (CB)

Odoi has been pretty decent in central defence, making crucial tackles and interceptions for the team.

Alfie Mawson (CB)

The summer addition is doing well and is developing a good partnership with Odoi in central defence.

Maxime Le Marchand (LB)

It is good to have a defensive-minded player at left-back, bearing in mind that Ryan Sessegnon is an expansive player in the wide areas.

Calum Chambers (CM)

The loanee from Arsenal has played very well after being switched to play a role in central midfield.

Jean Michael Seri

Jean Michael Seri (CM)

His performance against Leicester was his best in a while. Fulham fans would be hoping for more of the same on Saturday.

Ryan Sessegnon (LW)

The teenager is a live wire in the wide attacking areas. United’s right-back has to be on his toes this weekend.

Tom Cairney (CAM)

Came off the bench against the Foxes. Expect the skipper to start this weekend against the mighty Manchester United.

Andre Schurrle

Andre Schurrle (RW)

The German has recovered from his injury and was an unused sub on Wednesday. We may see him in the starting line-up on Saturday.

Aleksandar Mitrovic (ST)

The Serb has been in decent form in front of the goal this season. He will be aiming to hold the ball so that Fulham can be a threat on the counter-attack this weekend.
