Celtic welcome Romanian side CFR Cluj to Celtic Park for their Champions League third qualifying round second leg on Tuesday.
The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw, handing the Hoops an away goal advantage. Neil Lennon’s boys have been flying so far this season, scoring 12 league goals already in just two games. They come into this game on the back of a resounding 5-2 victory over Motherwell at the weekend.
However, Celtic cannot afford to take CFR Cluj lightly and must go all out to book their place in the Champions League group stages.
Summer signing Hatem Abd Elhamed was forced off last time out against St. Johnstone and was not risked at Motherwell. However, he could be available for CFR Cluj’s visit. Other than that, Lennon has no major injury concerns ahead of the game.
Bain is Celtic’s undisputed No.1 and he should start on Tuesday in the Champions League as well.
Hatem Abd Elhamed has made a good impression since joining the Hoops this summer and he could start the game at right-back.
Ajer is Celtic’s first-choice central defender and he is expected to keep his place in the team.
New signing Jullien has done very well so far in the new campaign and will partner Ajer in central defence.
Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo should complete Celtic’s back four against CFR Cluj on Tuesday.
A leader on and off the pitch, Brown will be eager to control the proceedings of the game from minute one.
A solid passer of the ball and an industrious presence in the team, McGregor should partner Brown in central midfield.
Forrest will head into Tuesday’s game with a certain level of confidence, having netted in the thumping 5-2 win over Motherwell.
Christie will provide the creative spark to Lennon’s side with his energy and movement off the ball.
Morgan has been preferred on the left flank this season and Lennon could persist with him again.
