Predicted Leeds United line-up to face Blackburn Rovers

Leeds United face Blackburn Rovers away from home on Saturday in a game where both teams need something to regain form. While the Peacocks are still in a strong position in the table, their performances in the last few games haven’t been up to scratch. The home team have also been up and down in their displays.

Hence, it could be a game where we might see both managers go for a win. Marcelo Bielsa would be hoping for his key players to come back to form and resume normal services for the Elland Road club.

Team News

Kemar Roofe, who was injured for the past month and a half, is expected to take the field on Saturday. Pablo Hernandez is back in training but may not be given a start. Patrick Bamford is out until January, whereas Barry Douglas could be out for this month. Luke Ayling is suspended for this game for his red card against Brentford.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Marcelo Biela

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)

The youngster is slowly and steadily settling back into the team. His saves are important in these games.

Stuart Dallas (RB)

With Ayling suspended, Dallas is expected to take the right-back slot. He covered for Douglas against Brentford at left-back a fortnight ago.

Pontus Jansson

Pontus Jansson (CB)

Scored the late equaliser against the Bees to win a point for the team. The Swedish international would be looking to further improve his performance overall. He was good in the last game.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The captain did have some nervy moments in the last game but recovered the situations well. His partnership with Jansson at the heart of defence is key.

Tom Pearce (LB)

The youngster would be starting this game since Douglas is out due to injury.

Kalvin Phillips

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

Phillips has been in good form, holding the midfield and shielding the back-line.

Samuel Saiz (LCM)

The Spaniard is expected to do much better than what he has been in the past few weeks. Maybe a two-week break should revitalise him.

Mateusz Klich (RCM)

The Pole has been in and out of form in the previous few games. Bielsa would be hoping for more consistency from him.

Ezgjan Alioski (LW)

The Macedonian did alright against Brentford after a run of barren games. However, his work for incisiveness in the final third continues.

Kemar Roofe

Kemar Roofe (ST)

After a long injury layoff, Roofe would be raring to go, looking to score goals for the team.

Jack Harrison (RW)

With Hernandez probably on the bench on Saturday, Harrison needs to step up or find himself back in the periphery soon.
