Predicted Leicester City Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Leicester City will travel to the John Smith Stadium this weekend, as they face surprise package Huddersfield Town in match-week 5 of the Premier League.

The Foxes haven’t had the best of starts to the new campaign, and find themselves in 17th position in the league table, with just three points from four games (1W, 3L), with their previous game ending in a 2-1 loss against Chelsea. And manager Craig Shakespeare will be hoping to get things back on track, with a win against the Terriers on Saturday.

Team News

There are two fresh injury concerns for the Foxes heading into the game, as midfielder Matty James is a major doubt due to an Achilles problem, with left-back Christian Fuchs picking up a freak eye injury during training this week. Loan signing Aleksandar Dragovic is still not 100% match fit and will not feature. On the other hand, summer signings Kelechi Iheanacho and Vicente Iborra are in contention for selection. Veteran defender Robert Huth also returns to the fold.

Here’s how Leicester could take the field against David Wagner’s side:

Manager: Craig Shakespeare

Formation: 4-4-2

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

The Dane has managed just a single clean sheet this season and would want to add another on Saturday, against the Terriers.

Danny Simpson (RB)

The 30-year old will start at right-back for the Foxes and look to continue his consistent run of displays.

Harry Maguire

Wes Morgan (CB)

The captain of the club will keep his place in the heart of the defence. Will want to improve his team’s defensive record this season.

Harry Maguire (CB)

The former Hull City man has been Leicester’s best player this season, since arriving in the summer. Irremovable from the team based on his current form.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

With Fuchs’ injury sidelining him, young Ben Chilwell will get a chance to impress the manager on Saturday.

Riyad Mahrez (RM)

The Algerian international has been the brightest spark in the attacking third for Leicester and will need to keep firing if the Foxes are to bounce back this season.

Riyad Mahrez

Andy King (CM)

With Matty James missing out, long-serving midfielder Andy King should come into the starting line-up against the Terriers.

Wilfred Ndidi (CM)

The 20-year old has become a pivotal member of the team in the past year or so and surely is one of the first few names on the team-sheet for Shakespeare.

Marc Albrighton (LM)

The 27-year old is a workhorse down the left-hand side and always poses a threat with his pinpoint crosses. Should start ahead of Demarai Gray.

Jamie Vardy (right)

Shinji Okazaki (ST)

The Japanese international has netted twice in three league appearances this season and will want to add more to his tally, against Huddersfield.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

Partnering Okazaki in the attack will be England international Jamie Vardy. The 30-year old needs to fire on all cylinders if the Foxes are to get back to winning ways.
