[Image] Here’s how Leeds United could line up with this 27-year-old speedster in the team

According to reports, Leeds United are favourites to sign Abel Hernandez. After 4 years with Hull City, the striker will leave the club upon the expiration of his contract at the end of the month, and Elland Road could be his next destination.

With new manager Marcelo Bielsa at the helm, Leeds fans have a lot to look forward to. He is a visionary in terms of his tactics and formations, thus making him ideal to bring the Whites out of their recent slump.

Leeds struggled in front of goal last season, and the likes of Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Kemar Roofe were only good in patches.

Lasogga’s loan deal from Hamburg has come to an end, which leaves Roofe as Leeds’ only recognised striker. Thus, a move for someone as experienced and skilled as Hernandez is the need of the hour for the Whites.

Bielsa is known for tinkering with formations until the penultimate moment but he seems to prefer playing a 3-3-3-1 system. With that in mind, here’s how Leeds could line up next season with Hernandez in the mix.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)

For now, Peacock-Farrell is expected to continue between the sticks for Leeds.

Liam Cooper (CB)

Cooper struggled for consistency last season but if Bielsa is to play the aforementioned formation, he could be a part of a three-man backline.

Pontus Jansson (CB)

Jansson is one of Leeds’ strongest defenders and he should retain his spot in the starting line-up next season.

Paudie O’Connor (CB)

Leeds must bolster their forces in the central defence department. O’Connor is talented but he is far too inexperienced to play regularly.

Stuart Dallas (LM)

It will be interesting to see how Dallas fares a little higher up the pitch under Bielsa’s guidance next term.

Adam Forshaw (DM)

Forshaw was quite effective in the role last season, meaning he should keep his place in the 2017/18 campaign.

Luke Ayling (RM)

Predominantly a full-back, it remains to be seen how Ayling fares in this role next season.

Samuel Saiz (AM)

Saiz displayed flashes of brilliance last season and it is evident that has the qualities required to work wonders at Elland Road.

Pablo Hernandez (LW)

The Spaniard was a force to reckon with for Leeds and he should find himself on the left-wing next season.

Ezgjan Alioski (RW)

Alioski should be deployed on the right-wing as his creativity will prove to be resourceful for Leeds.

Abel Hernandez (ST)

Hernandez has led the line numerous times before at Hull, and he will be tasked with scoring goals on a regular basis for the Yorkshire giants.
