Hodgson to make no changes – Predicted 4-4-2 Crystal Palace line-up to face Brighton

Predicted Crystal Palace Lineup To Face Brighton & Hove Albion In The Premier League

Crystal Palace have got themselves out of the relegation zone after initial struggles under De Boer who was eventually replaced by Hodgson. Palace, however, have not survived yet and are only three points clear of the relegation zone having played a game more than the 18th-placed Southampton. Hodgson, therefore, needs to inspire his boys for the remaining fixtures to escape the downfall.

Their Saturday afternoon fixture against Brighton won’t be a stroll in the park but the hosts must take advantage of this home encounter and gain three massive points against the Premier League new boys.

Probable Crystal Palace XI

Manager: Roy Hodgson

Wayne Hennessey (GK)

The Welshman has often been criticised for his inconsistency and needs to uplift his game for the remaining fixtures and maintain the Eagles’ top-flight status.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

The academy graduate has been featuring regularly in a right-back role for quite a while now and has earned the manager’s trust mostly because of his matured defensive display.

James Tomkins (RCB)

The English centre-back has often struggled with injuries but is now fit and ready to bring rigidity in Palace defence.

Mamadou Sakho

Mamadou Sakho (LCB)

The former Liverpool centre-back has not been at his best since completing a permanent switch in the summer. However, the team demands another inspiring spell from the Frenchman, similar to the previous term when he joined them on loan in winter and guided them towards a Premier League safety.

Patrick van Aanholt (LB)

The fullback is having an impressive spell down the left flank and although needs to work more on his defensive duties, the ex-Chelsea youngster has been a massive influence while going forward.

James McArthur (RM)

McArthur, despite being a central midfielder, is being utilised in a wide midfield role and will continue to do so until the return of certain individuals.

Yohan Cabaye (CM)

The French international holds a strong presence in midfield with his range of passing and set-piece skills. He is a perfect fit in Hodgson’s setup as he controls the flow of the game from the middle of the park.

Luka Milivojevic

Luka Milivojevic (CM)

The Serbian has been a revelation for the Eagles this season and has netted 10 times already. He is in great form.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (LM)

The Chelsea-loanee missed out the majority of the campaign due to injury but is now back and would be determined to contribute to attaining the season objectives.

Andros Townsend (RS)

The winger featured in a make-shift centre-forward role against the Cherries due to the absence of Christian Benteke, Connor Wickham and Alexander Sorloth. He should continue to play up front unless Benteke is declared fit for a return.

Wilfried Zaha (LS)

Zaha has mostly been used up front alongside Christian Benteke in recent months and will lead the line against the Seagulls on Saturday.
