Predicted Crystal Palace line-up to face Wolves in the Premier League

Crystal Palace will welcome the high-flying Wolverhampton Wanderers to Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Eagles have been through ups and downs and are yet to score a goal in three top-flight fixtures at Selhurst Park this season.

Roy Hodgson will be concerned by his team’s home form and will look to bounce back from the unlucky 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth on Monday.

Wolves, on the other hand, made it three wins in their last four Premier League fixtures by defeating Southampton 2-0 last weekend at the Molineux.

Team News

Christian Benteke remains the only injured player for Palace at the moment. Scott Dann and Connor Wickham have returned to training and are getting closer to first-team action, confirmed Hodgson.

Probable Crystal Palace XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Roy Hodgson

Wayne Hennessey (GK)

Hennessey is one of the most underrated goalkeepers in the Premier League. He has been a reliable presence in goal for Palace and should start against Wolves.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

Bissaka has been a consistent performer for Palace this season, having nailed down a spot at right-back. He is a certain starter for the weekend fixture.

James Tomkins (CB)

Tomkins has had his injury problems this term but he is now back to full fitness would be raring to make a mark. He is a no-nonsense defender who keeps things tight at the back for the Eagles.

Mamadou Sakho (CB)

Partnering Tomkins in central defence should be Sakho, whose horrendous mistake gifted Bournemouth a late winner earlier this week. He will look to make amends by putting up a good performance against Wolves.

Patrick van Aanholt (LB)

Van Aanholt is an attacking left-back who has also added goals to his game. He is expected to retain his place in the starting XI on Saturday.

Luka Milivojevic (CDM)

Milivojevic is one of the most crucial players for Palace. He sits in front of the back-four, protects them and lays a perfect platform for the creative players to express themselves freely.

Max Meyer

Max Meyer (RCM)

Meyer made his first league start against Bournemouth and mightily impressed with his distribution skills and smart movement off the ball. He should start against Wolves.

James McArthur (LCM)

McArthur’s work ethic is phenomenal, which makes him such an indispensable player for Hodgson.

Wilfried Zaha (LW)

Zaha has been Palace’s talisman for some years now. His explosive pace, trickery and movement could cause a lot of headaches for the Wolves defenders.

Andros Townsend

Andros Townsend (RW)

Starting on the right flank should be Townsend, who has the tendency to drift inside and have a pop with his left foot.

Alexander Sorloth (ST)

Leading Palace’s attack on Saturday could be Sorloth. He could be a real handful for the Wolves defenders.
