Predicted Crystal Palace Line-up To Face Watford In The Premier League

Crystal Palace will face off against Watford FC as they continue their battle to stave off relegation from the Premier League.

The Eagles were given a big boost to their survival hopes when they beat Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 at the Selhurst Park this past weekend. The result means they are now six points clear of the 18th placed Southampton with four games left to be played in the season.

A victory against the Hornets at the Vicarage Road would firmly set them on their way to retaining their Premier League status.

Here’s how Roy Hodgson could set his team out on Saturday.

Probable Crystal Palace XI

Formation: 4-4-2

Wayne Hennessey (GK)

The Crystal Palace keeper made some important stops in the game against Brighton and will be hoping to make a vital contribution on Saturday.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

The academy graduate was left out of the starting XI last week but after Joel Ward’s poor display, he is likely to be reinstated to the starting XI.

James Tomkins (CB)

The former West Ham man scored a goal in the win last week. Will be up against the dangerous Troy Deeney on Saturday.

Mamadou Sakho

Mamadou Sakho (CB)

The Frenchman has been a solid presence at the back for the Eagles since his return from injury. Will continue to partner Tomkins in the heart of the defence.

Patrick van Aanholt (LB)

At left-back, Patrick van Aanholt provides defensive solidity and width when going forward. A definite starter.

James McArthur (RM)

The 30-year-old Scottish midfielder has made 31 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring 5 goals in the process. Needs to have more impact in the attacking third than he has done in recent weeks.

Yohan Cabaye (CM)

The Frenchman provides Palace with the control in the middle of the park. His ability to find teammates accurately in the attacking positions is key for the Eagles.

Luka Milivojevic (CM)

The 27-year-old Serbian midfield enforcer has scored a total of 10 goals in 32 appearances in the Premier League this season and is a pivotal part of Palace’s setup.

Luka Milivojevic and Wilfried Zaha

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (LM)

The on-loan Chelsea midfielder has shown sparks of his natural ability at his temporary club. Provides the drive and thrust going forward.

Wilfried Zaha (ST)

The Eagles’ biggest asset going forward, Wilfried Zaha bagged a brace in the win over Brighton and will once again be the man to fire his team to a win.

Andros Townsend (ST)

Alongside Zaha, former Tottenham man Andros Townsend provides Palace with the attacking impetus going forward using his pace and intelligent movement.
