Heckingbottom to make 3 changes – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Leeds United line-up to face Bolton

Predicted Leeds United Line-up To Face Bolton Wanderers In The EFL Championship

Leeds United face Bolton Wanderers with both teams essentially having nothing to play for. Although Bolton could still go down, it would take a truly horrible month for the Wanderers who are not in bad form at the moment.

Leeds, on the other hand, are 12 points off the playoff positions and any thin hopes they have of making a late run for the top spots were dashed when they conceded a late goal against Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – Andy Lonergan

After training all week, it looks like Andy Lonergan might be in contention to take over from the young Peacock-Farrell. The experience between the sticks will be appreciated.

LB – Tom Pearce

The 19-year-old should continue to deputise for Laurens DeBock as he recovers from an injury. He has a chance to stake his claim for a regular starting place with a good performance against Bolton.

Gaetano Berardi (left)

CB – Pontus Jansson

Pontus Jansson captained the Swedish team that beat Romania 1-0 during the international break and will take his place in central defence after shaking off a knock.

CB – Liam Cooper

Matthew Pennington may find himself on the bench again, the return of Liam Cooper to training.

RB – Gaetano Berardi

Berardi is always a solid player for Leeds and will need to step up for his side once again. The 29-year-old is an important part of the United build-up play.

CM – Adam Forshaw

Has settled in well after joining from Middlesborough. The Englishman will want to dictate the tempo and provide the platform for the attacking players to perform.

CM – Eunan O’Kane

The Irishman trained with the Republic of Ireland squad all week and will be looking to use that experience while playing for his club.

LW – Stuart Dallas

The Northern Irishman picked up a knock during the international break but is likely to shake it off and feature for his club.

Samuel Saiz

CAM – Samuel Saiz

The Spaniard is at the heart of everything creative that Leeds do and they will be desperate to have him back.

RW – Ezgjan Alioski

The 26-year-old forward is growing in confidence and will need another outing to prove that he can cut it out at Championship level.

ST – Caleb Ekuban

The talented striker has played the last two games for Leeds and should keep his place ahead of Lassoga.
