There have been some reports that Arsenal have targeted Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan to come in and become the clubs first top quality signing in the winter transfer window, with some rumours circulating that they have already agreed a deal worth around £19 million which would be a record signing for the North London club.
The pint sized performer is comfortable on the ball and has a good turn of pace and has all the attributes one would expect of Arsene Wenger and though £19m would represent a club record fee the Arsenal boss may feel that January is the right time to splash the cash to help secure at the very least a top four finish.
The gifted player would be a great addition to the Arsenal set-up and will satisfy many Gunners fans thirst to see some established players arrive at the club. And if reports are true, then the Gunners will have a very good player on their hands.
Talking about Arda’s future, his agent has said:
“Arda has played at Atletico Madrid for two seasons now. I have wanted to see him play for another team in another league and Arda wants the same.
“We are working on making this happen, Atletico know what our intention is and are working with us.”
There are no confirmed news yet, but if the rumours do come true, Arsenal fans are in for a treat by end of this month.
