According to reports in the Birmingham Mail, Championship club West Bromwich Albion will revisit their interest in Blackburn Rovers’ prized asset Bradley Dack in the winter transfer window. The 24-year-old was subject to interest from the Baggies in the summer as well.
Yet the Birmingham club are looking to return with a better offer and sign the player, probably as early as January. Dack has been previously linked with Premier League club Leicester City before. (Birmingham Mail)
West Brom haven’t struggled for goals this season; they have scored 31 goals in 12 league games so far, which is an astonishing return since they were a low-scoring team in the past few campaigns in the Premier League.
Yet, getting a quality player like Dack shouldn’t be blown away. If the Baggies can come up with a better offer and sign the player, it’d be a great move for them. Here’s why:
West Brom, under the management of Darren Moore, are playing in a 3-4-1-2 formation. It consists of three central defenders, two wing-backs, two central midfielders, two strikers and an attacking midfielder who supports the front men and creates chances for them.
Harvey Barnes is playing that role right now and is doing well for the team. But the youngster is a Leicester City player, meaning the Foxes could recall him either in January or next summer.
This will leave Moore and his men with a big void to fill. Hence, signing Bradley Dack would make perfect sense. The 24-year-old can create as well as score goals for the team from the central attacking midfield position, making him the perfect foil for the West Brom strikers.
As the above facts convey, it makes complete sense for the Baggies to revisit their interest in the prized Blackburn asset and sign him in the winter window. Dack has been a fantastic player for the Rovers, showing he has what it takes to succeed in Championship football.
