Two Signings That Could Massively Improve Norwich City Next Season

I really don’t want to be all doom and gloom about Norwich City at all, but fans of all clubs stuck in the Championship need to prepare for a tough life.

Worst case scenario for the Canaries – Daniel Farke as a head coach doesn’t work and Dorrans and Naismith go to Rangers. Sounds awful, doesn’t it? But all of these scenarios are very realistic and so the players Norwich bring in become hugely important for the short and medium term health of the club.

Here we look at two realistic, but positive signings the East Anglian club could make over the course of the summer transfer window.

Krystian Bielik

19-year-old Bielik spent last season at Birmingham having come through the ranks at Arsenal. His pedigree is certainly not in doubt and even though it appears the north London club do not wish to give him his Premier League chance, he may well prove up to that level within a matter of time.

Bielik actually made his professional debut in his Polish homeland playing for Legia Warsaw and the midfielder has come a long way since then. Norwich would do well to go for players with potential as well as those with the ability to get the job done, as the Championship is a long old season.

Kevin Stewart

A player who could rejuvenate the Canaries’ midfield is Liverpool man Kevin Stewart. Having come through the ranks at the famed academy in Crewe, Liverpool won a battle against Tottenham for his signature but has been limited to just 11 Premier League appearances at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp appears unlikely to offer Stewart too much in the way of first team action next season, now that the league title and a tilt at the Champions League are on the agenda. So Stewart will become available. Given that there is not a queue of top division clubs willing to take a chance on the 23-year-old who is undoubtedly talented, Norwich could land him for not much of a fee.
