On a frustrating night at Old Trafford, Arsene Wenger’s substitutes combined late in the game to give Arsenal a point in a crunch game in the Premier League at the weekend. However, Arsenal will have to put that performance behind them and get ready for their Champions League encounter as they try to consolidate their place in the group table. The Gunners welcome French giants PSG this week with both teams drawn on 10 points each at the top of the group table. The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in an exciting draw and his game can well produce such similar action on the night. Wenger is expected to go for the kill at the Emirates and will put in a strong lineup for this game.

Here is the predicted lineup that he might field on the night:

Team News:

Arsene Wenger has no new injuries to worry about and should go with his best XI. Per Mertesacker, Danny Welbeck, Hector Bellerin, Santi Cazorla and Lucas Perez are all missing from this game.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

David Ospina:

The first choice shot-stopper for Wenger for the Champions League, Ospina should keep his place in the side for this game against PSG.

Carl Jenkinson:

After an OK display against Manchester United, Jenkinson might keep his place in the side for this game in the absence of Bellerin.

Laurent Koscielny:

Had a rather nervy game at the back for Arsenal at the weekend but he has been in superb form and should keep his place in the side for this game.

Shkodran Mustafi:

The German international has been a man mountain at the back for Arsenal this season and he should start this game alongside Koscielny at the Emirates.

Kieran Gibbs:

After Monreal was tormented at the Old Trafford at the weekend, Wenger might bring in some fresh legs in Gibbs for this clash against PSG.

Granit Xhaka:

After making only a substitute appearance in the game at the weekend, the imposing defensive midfielder should be back in the starting XI for this game against Xhaka.

Francis Coquelin:

Though not as solid as he would have wanted to be in front of the back 4 at the Emirates, Coquelin should keep his place in the side for this game against PSG.

Theo Walcott:

The English winger was not at his best against Manchester United but he is the highest goal scorer for Arsenal in all competitions this season and should keep his place in the side.

Mesut Ozil:

A completely ineffective performance at Old Trafford should fast be forgotten as the German international has a huge role to play in this group stage encounter against PSG.

Alexis Sanchez:

The Chilean has been extraordinary in a  false-9 position for Arsenal this season but with Giroud finding some form, it might be time for Wenger to get him back on the wing.

Olivier Giroud:

After rescuing a point with a late header at the Old Trafford, Giroud should keep his place in the side for this game against Arsenal.
