The Gers managed to get a point from their previous Premiership outing against derby rivals Celtic and will be hoping to put pressure on second-placed Aberdeen with a win at home over Hamilton. The two clubs have met on three occasions this season, with Rangers winning twice and drawing once, with the latest coming earlier this month when they thrashed Hamilton 6-0 in the Scottish Cup.
Defender Rob Kiernan and striker Joe Garner will be available after serving their suspensions, meaning only Nico Kranjcar and Jordan Rossiter will miss out due to injury issues.
The 26-year old has been the undisputed choice in goal for Rangers. Expect it to stay the same after an impressive display last Sunday against Celtic.
Slotted on the right-side of midfield last weekend, we expect him to return to the right-back position with Lee Hodson missing out.
Rob Kiernan is back from suspension, but following Wilson’s impressive display against Celtic, we expect him to retain his place in the XI.
Alongside Wilson, the veteran defender will continue at the heart of the defence. The former QPR man was Gers’ hero last week scoring the late equaliser and will look to build on it.
At left-back it will be Lee Wallace. The captain’s presence on the left-flank is a must for Rangers as his energy down the wings is a key feature for them.
Midfielder Andy Halliday should be set for a return into the playing XI after missing out the cup tie against Hamilton and the game against Celtic.
Had a poor game against Celtic, but we believe Jason Holt will retain his place in the middle of the park for Saturday’s encounter.
Alongside Holt, it will be the impressive Emerson Hyndman. The 20-year old put in a confident display against Celtic and should be rewarded with another start.
On the right-hand side of the attack, we expect Martyn Waghorn to continue in the playing XI. Missed a few chances against the Hoops last week and would be itching for a goal.
On the left-hand side, it will be the impressive Barry McKay. He will be expected to provide the creativity in the attacking third for Rangers.
And at the top of the attack will be Joe Garner who will be available after being suspended for the Celtic encounter. The striker scored a hat-trick against Hamilton earlier this month and will hope to put in a similar display.
