As the Premier League returns after a hectic European schedule for many teams, the Fantasy Premier League managers will now be looking to pick their captain ahead of the gameweek 8 deadline. A number of teams have easy fixtures on paper while Liverpool and Manchester City face off against each other at Anfield.
Chelsea take on Southampton and Spurs come up against a poor Cardiff City side, which gives a couple of handy captaincy options ahead of the matchday.
Here we take a look at three ideal candidates who are capable of racking up the points before the international break.
This one seems pretty obvious, doesn’t it? The England captain is in exceptional form going into this game. He scored a brace against Huddersfield Town last weekend and picked up a good goal against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Kane’s price has already risen back to its original £12.5million and it would be best for managers to bring him in before the start of the international break. He seems to be averaging more shots per game in the last few weeks as well and is averaging more touches in the box too.
Cardiff City have conceded a league-high 16 goals this season and there’s every chance a resonant Kane will punish them.
There seems to be none that can stop Chelsea’s electric Belgian who is in fiery form going into this game. He scored against Liverpool last weekend in the Premier League and in the League Cup victory as well.
Hazard’s price has already risen up to 11.1million since those returns and it would be a grave mistake to not bring the Belgian in at this point. Everything seems to be going through him with the Blues’ strikers misfiring.
Chelsea take on an average Southampton side who have conceded 11 goals this season. Expect Eden Hazard to get amongst the goals.
For some reason, Lacazette is still very much under the radar and possesses minimal ownership at this point, which means the Frenchman is a powerful differential. The striker has picked up points in 5 gameweeks and seems to be a more potent option as opposed to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Frenchman is still modestly priced at his original £9.5million and with the Gunners visiting Craven Cottage this weekend, Arsenal could once again run riot. Fulham are one of the other 2 teams to have conceded 16 goals this season and with Aubameyang a doubt for this fixture, there’s every chance of Lacazette picking up more points.
