After a couple of weeks in the doldrums, well not exactly, we did have some great Euro and World Cup qualifying action to pass the time, the Premier League is back and that only means more cursing for the people who play the Fantasy Premier League game.
We all know how it goes, players are picked up in hopes of doing something great and then for some reason they just fail on the particular week you choose them and of course, the players you replaced miraculously turn up to be second best only to Messi and Ronaldo.
We look at the upcoming game week and dare to suggest a few tips that could help you out with a few more points and a rise up the league table as well.
Players in
Alexis Sanchez
Do we really need to give you a reason as to why you should have this Arsenal star in your Fantasy Premier League team? He is the heartbeat of Arsenal and keeps getting better as the season goes by. He was on fire against Manchester United before the international break and he could well do a lot of damage to the opposition this weekend.
Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin De Bruyne was on fire when he played against Newcastle and linked up extremely well with Sergio Aguero. The Belgian has also gotten on the score sheet a number of times and he could be the player that Manchester City have to rely on for a few weeks since a few of his teammates are injured for a while after the international break got over.
Diego Costa (Gamble)
Diego Costa recently stated that he was overweight at the start of the season and is slowly getting back to full fitness. This coupled with the fact that they are playing one of the worst teams in the league should allow the Spanish star to at least score a goal or two, or at least we hope so for our Fantasy Premier League teams’ sake.
Players out
Sergio Aguero
The biggest loss from this game week would be the Argentine missing out. Aguero got injured while playing for his national side in the World Cup qualifiers and is expected to be out for at least a month. He was on fire last time around against Newcastle and scored five past them, but now the League leaders will have to do without him for quite a while.
David Silva
Another injury for a Manchester City player, Silva has always been regarded as one of the best attackers in the Premier League and his link up play with the rest of the Manchester City team was frighteningly brilliant to say the least. He will not only be a loss to Manchester City but to many FPL players as well, who would be hoping that he recovers fairly quickly from his injury.
Wayne Rooney
The striker has been struggling all season and putting him into the team only takes away a chunk of your budget where you might be able to get someone better into the team. Rooney might be the captain of Manchester United, but only those who really support the English striker die hard supporters only would continue picking him in their Fantasy Premier League sides.
