3 Quality Managers West Brom Could Look To Sign To Replace Tony Pulis

Tony Pulis will be stuck with until after the international break, reports the Birmingham Mail.

After a narrow defeat to newly-promoted Huddersfield Town on Saturday, West Brom have dropped to 16th place in the table and currently sit outside the relegation zone, with the West Midlands club’s last victory coming on August 19.

Pulis is under immense pressure at West Brom but has an excellent record of avoiding the drop in 25 years of management. The 59-year-old, who replaced Alan Irvine in 2015, has guided the Baggies to 14th and a top ten finish in the last two seasons.

With players heading to international break, lets us look at 3 candidates who could replace Pulis at West Brom.

Alan Pardew

Alan Pardew is looking for a return to management after being out of work since Crystal Palace sacked him last December.

The former West Ham and Newcastle manager had rejected the opportunity to take over Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in October and favours a return to management in the Premier League, while filling his time working for Sky Sports as a pundit.

Pardew, 56, might not be a long-term choice but could bring instant success to West Brom.

Roberto Mancini

Roberto Mancini is a worthy candidate to take over as West Brom boss. The Italian signed with Russian outfit FC Zenit St. Petersburg in June this year and has led them to second place in the table, only three points shy of league-leaders Lokomotiv Moscow.

Mancini lead Manchester City to their first Premier League win in the (Premier League era) 2011/12 season but was rudely sacked the following season just two days after the FA Cup final loss to Wigan Athletic.

The former Inter boss would surely jump at the chance to return to the Premier League.

Quique Sanchez Flores

West Brom can go for Quique Sanchez Flores, who is currently in charge of Espanyol. However, it would be difficult for the Baggies to lure Flores away from Spain, mid way through the season.

Sanchez Flores guided Watford to an FA Cup semi-final during his time in charge of the club but left at the end of the 2015-16 season to move to La Liga. He should be right in the mix for a tilt at taking West Brom forward.
