3 Upgrades On Kevin N’Koudou Who Can Take Tottenham On To The Next Level

It was not at all easy for Mauricio Pochettino to meet high expectations with budget constraints when he took charge of Tottenham Hotspur a few seasons back. Spurs were in an unstable state and were losing their relevance as a Premier League heavyweights. But the ex-Southampton gaffer has stood up to the challenge and has transformed them into an admirable European force amidst several restrictions. Spurs are in exquisite form in Europe this season but might lose their Premier League runners-up status that they earned last season. Pochettino has concentrated on the youth development and a plethora of young guns have flourished as first-team regulars.

Limited wage structure has restricted them from acquiring the greatest of names of world football but their transfer business has been quite apt and accurate under the young Argentine.
The window reopens next month and the North Londoners will be keen to bring in new resources in order to stake a claim in league’s ‘top four’ and a prolific wingman will be their priority considering the congested fixtures in the remainder of the campaign.

Spurs have a few options on the flanks but only Heung-Min Son has established himself as a regular starter. Erik Lamela has to work hard to make up lost ground following his long-term injury absence whereas playmaker Christian Eriksen has been forced to play in a makeshift wide role for the majority of the campaign. Georges-Kévin N’Koudou, the other Winger, couldn’t earn the manager’s trust and is tipped to be transferred out in coming days. Thus, Spurs are expected to dive into the transfer market to find a quality wingman.

Here we have shortlisted three such stars who are available, realistic and can be lured in to play for the English big guns.

Quincy Promes

Current Club: Spartak Moscow

Age: 25

Country: Netherlands

The Dutchman is known for his great speed, power, and scoring ability and was a transfer target for Liverpool earlier this year. He has proven his worth with the Russian Champions and deserves a run in the Premier League. Spurs have acquired a number of young and promising talents previously such as Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld who have established themselves as top-notch Premier League stars of the recent times. Promes might see his name in the same bracket if the deal takes place in coming weeks.

Wilfried Zaha

Current Club: Crystal Palace

Age: 25

Country: Ivory Coast

Although he had a failed stint at Manchester United under David Moyes, Zaha has immensely improved in recent years for his boyhood side Crystal Palace. The Ivorian switched his nationality recently and it’s about time he attempts another high-profile switch, amidst interests from English heavyweights. Zaha is excellent with the ball, offers physicality, suits multiple attacking roles. Zaha doesn’t deserve to be a part of relegation battle each term and a move to Tottenham will be a massive step forward for the prolific wingman. Spurs, too, need a player of his stature who can be snapped up using their strict financial structure and deliver persistently in a league where he has already proven his worth.

Suso

Current Club: AC Milan

Age: 24

Nationality: Spain

The former Liverpool youngster has lived up to the expectations since joining the Serie A giants and recently earned his maiden senior cap for his country. Suso has been the most consistent attacker for I Rossoneri since last campaign and might fancy a Premier League return to accomplish an unfinished business. He is hailed for his footwork, directness and shooting ability. Also, his crosses and cut-ins from the right flank will help Spurs to create more chances for hitman Harry Kane inside the box.
