Forget Falcao And Di Maria, These 3 Rising Stars Will Bring The Glory Back To Manchester United

Share

This season Manchester United have spent huge on their squad and brought in world class stars. Now they have a squad which looks frightening with the likes of di Maria, Falcao, van Persie, Mata and Rooney in their attack. It is true that their defence is not upto the mark, but they can always manage to bring in new players in the winter. And after some initial setback, now the results have started to show. United are now fourth in the league and they have started showing signs of improvement and it would not surprise anyone if they give a tough fight for the top four spot.

During Sir Alex Ferguson’s time United did not intend to invest too much and rather tried to bring in players who could do good for them at a very low rate. This tradition has been lost a bit in recent years, but still United do have players in their squad whom they got as a bargain and who can excel for them in years to come. Here we give names of three players who can be an integral part of the squad and who can play a big role in bringing the glory back to the Old Trafford club.

1. Tyler Blackett

This unknown defender has become one of their main man in the backline this season. This 22 year old player had impressed the manager in the preseason and this made van Gaal give him chance in the first team. The fact that van Gaal decided to play 3 players at the back provided Blackett with the additional opportunity. Blackett joined United as an 8 year old in their youth academy and gradually elevated through their ranks. Blackett can be one of the find of this season and he can serve the club and nation for a long time.

2. Adnan Januzaj

The Belgian joined United in their youth ranks in 2011 and his impact has been so great last season, that he was selected in the Brazilian world cup squad along with players like Hazard, Lukaku and Fellaini. He was brought in by Ferguson from Anderlecht and since then he has impressed one and all with his skill and his maturity. Everybody is of the opinion that he will turn out to be a big star for United in the future and that he will complement his teammates wonderfully. But at the present he is not getting a fair share of chances and that is mainly because of the number of stars United have, but sooner or later he will certainly shine for the team.

3. Daley Blind

He was transferred to United this season for a fee of £13.8 million, but in an inflated market that can be termed as steal at the moment. Blind is an extremely versatile player who is capable of playing in the left back position and also as a defensive midfielder. He has a good rapport with van Gaal and thus the manager was insistent on bringing him to United. He has already shown his class for the side and the fans would like to believe that he continue to do that for years to come.
