Forget Abraham – This Cardiff outcast is capable of walking into the Aston Villa starting line-up to replace the loan star

Kenneth Zohore will be the perfect replacement if Tammy Abraham leaves

Aston Villa haven’t had a very good campaign so far when compared to the expectations that were placed on them at the start of the campaign. They were tipped to challenge for the top-4 and comfortably make the top-6 given that they have a fairly strong group of players in the team.

Currently at 12th place, Villa have scored a whopping 49 goals already this campaign, which is more than even Leeds United and Sheffield United have managed to notch up, thanks to the strikers.

One of these strikers is Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham who has been in blistering form for the Villains since the start of the campaign.

At the start of the transfer window, Abraham was linked with a move away from Villa Park with Wolves linked as the side interested but more recently, The Mirror are suggesting that Chelsea have set an asking price of £50m for the striker which will ward off most clubs.

While this is the case, his current form and goal-scoring rate have been brilliant, which could attract an offer from one of the Premier League clubs said to be interested in his services, according to the report. If this deal does happen, then Villa will have a real problem on their hands in the striking department.

Cardiff outcast Kenneth Zohore will be the perfect replacement in case Tammy does depart. Having played just 7 games for Cardiff all campaign out of which 4 appearances have been on the bench, Zohore is yet to find the back of the net.

While his last appearance was during the 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United in December, his previous appearance before that was a 4-1 rout by Liverpool in October, which gives us a clear idea as to how much playing time he has been receiving.

He is still only 24 years old and is an excellent finisher in the box. With physical similarities to Leeds forward Kemar Roofe, he could be the perfect striker for the Championship with his pace and overall ruggedness. His fascinating runs will add a new dimension to this already brilliant Villa attack.

While Zohore can be the perfect replacement for Tammy, Villa must try to do everything in their power to keep hold of the English striker until the end of the campaign to try and cross the hefty barrier that is the top 6.
